I currently lead a data analytics team at an overseas casual games company. I am responsible for all data work across two games, with DAU of 300,000 and 100,000, respectively. I am now distilling my own business knowledge into a data analysis agent to help the project teams adopt AI faster. I can't share more details for now.

I joined a small company specializing in audio testing, working as both a product manager and a field application engineer (FAE). We provided hardware and software testing solutions to the R&D teams and factories of audio brands including Apple, Beats, Huawei, JBL, and Sony. Our work covered basic functionality, frequency response, ANC/ENC performance, and background noise levels for wired earphones, TWS earbuds, over-ear headphones, speakers, phones, and other devices with audio capabilities. The Edifier LolliPods testing solution I led helped secure over RMB 5 million in equipment and software orders. By 2022, the LolliPods series as a whole had sold more than 4.5 million pairs. A production line using our company's testing equipment even appeared on China Central Television (CCTV), although the equipment was on screen for only a few seconds. This was the highlight of that chapter of my career. As I gained experience and perspective, I realized that I was more interested in data and believed that investing in this field long term would offer a better return. So I decided to leave. Overall, I am grateful for the experience.

After graduation, I joined Midea Group's microwave and oven division as a quality engineer. I found the office politics unbearable. Watching assembly-line workers repeat the same mechanical tasks for 12 hours to meet production targets made me feel deeply for them. I still don't buy Midea products because of what I saw there. I left after just four months. The division had a slogan: 'Those who remain are kings'—a play on 'the victors are kings.' I couldn't help laughing at it. By their standards, I was a deserter. Looking back, I'm grateful to my younger self for leaving.

I majored in Electronic Information Engineering. I couldn't find enough motivation to study difficult, abstract subjects such as Principles of Communication, Electromagnetic Fields, and Signals and Systems. Instead, I spent far too much time playing games like Honor of Kings and Sanguosha. I failed many courses and took an extra year to graduate. If I could go back, I would look for work or a field of study that gave me a sense of purpose. I would study mathematics seriously, especially linear algebra and complex analysis, and I would not let games take over my life. It hurts to face my past mistakes honestly: I think I wasted my university years.
