Hi, I'm Lucian.

Data Analyst & AI Engineer. Chinese. Currently working and building in Beijing.
Focus on LLM Engineering & Applications and Data Science

Why English?
Well, firstly I'm using this as a way to improve my English—a strategy known asdeliberate practice.

Secondly, I want to connect with like-minded people from all over the world.I figure that most highly educated people in China already have a solid grasp of English. However, for that same global audience outside of China, very few understand Chinese at all.
So,English is a Good Choice!

Career Timeline

Data Analyst & AI Engineer

2021-Present

After some serious thought, I decided to pivot and pursue something data-related.So,these days,I'm working as a Data Analyst for a company here in Beijing that's in the casual gaming space. I'm keeping the specifics under wraps for now.

Product Manager

2019-2020

I join a small boutique agency in the audio testing field. We tested pretty much everything about Audio such as phones,speakers,microphones,TWS....Basically, our job was to help R&D teams and factories figure out if their frequency response curves would actually sound good to average listeners, or if their ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) was up to par, or if their Backgroud-Noise(本底噪音) is too loud to bear, etc.Since the team was tiny, I wore a lot of hats. I was doing everything from Product Management to working as a Field Application Engineer (FAE).Honestly, the experience was just so so. I realized pretty quickly that I didn't want to stay in this industry forever, so I decided it was time to move on

A Fortune 500 deserter.

2018

After graduation, I landed a job as a Quality Engineer at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. However, I found the office politics unbearable and the corporate culture deeply troubling. Seeing assembly line workers endure 12-hour shifts—standing all day performing repetitive tasks with barely a break—was hard to watch.I stayed for just four months before I escaped. People in that circle believe that '剩者为王',which means 'the last man standing is king'. According to that metric, I was a complete failure. But looking back, I am thankful every day that I was not able to be their king

A slacker at an elite school.

2013-2018

I graduated from a top-list university in China, majoring in Electronic Information Engineering. Honestly speaking, I was a terrible student. I haven't faced many real hardships in life, if there is, my college years definitely count! Haha.Back then, I totally burned out. I couldn't stand my major courses—like Communication Circuits and Electromagnetic Fields. Instead, I got addicted to video games, flunked so many classes that it took me an extra year to finally get my bachelor's degree. You know, the best way to torture someone is to force them to do something that feels meaningless. I can't unsterstand why must I finish those boring courses. It's really tough ,but thankfully, I managed to make it through in the end.
